Bending Tree, by Ricky Tims 20" x 22" - Click on quilt for full view. I designed and made Bending Tree to be a metaphor for life. There are times when challenges are almost unbearable—times when we feel like we will break. But as Karen Carpenter sang, just like the young trees in the winter time, I'll learn how to bend, we all must learn to do the same. Hold strong. Stay true. Fight and persevere. The quilt is a message of encouragement and a reminder that...this too shall pass. I do have a pattern for this, but there are no more hand-dyed fabric kits.
