Yesterday, there was lots of land-based in-motion but nothing in the water. Today, the weather is forecast to downhill for 10 days so I went to the beach one more time. Today there was heavy surf and six surfers. I shot over 250 photos. After going through them and applying LR corrections I was down to 130. I liked this one, with the surfer in the curl, the best.

IThis is the underbelly of the 21st bridge that crosses the Arkansas River in Tulsa.  This was one of the locations for the filming of the 1983 movie "The Outsiders".  I liked the long line the arches made and the reflection in the water..  The "Truth" graffiti gave me my color.  Makes me wonder what "Truth" the artist was thinking when he created this but truth seems like a good message to me.  I shot this hand held because I didn't have my tripod with me.  I used the lasso to remove a few small pieces of graffiti that didn't add to the shot. It worked great!

I love black-and-white and had many pictures this week that were great candidates for this assignment. Today we were out roaming on the mountain looking for the baby trees that were planted after the fire. Hugo climbed up to the top of this ridge and I snapped this picture. I really liked the way his gesture followed the gesture of the trees

I knew I wanted to see if I could pan Cordelia running - she is a bullet train! Hugo assisted and I ended up with a couple of dozen shots of Cordelia, but I liked this one with both of them. I wasn't thrilled that this particular image had my gravel pile, but there are other things about it that I like more than what I disliked about the gravel. I used content-aware fill to remove a little branch in front of them that was distracting. I took this just after the sun went behind the mountain so the light was less and worked better for a 1/10th second panning shot.
