I love the colors in this Labyrinth Dahlia and how the window light illuminated the top of the flower. The ICM turned the fiery colors into smoky wisps.

This is Miguel - he lives beside our front door and has stood watch for me for about 12 years - maybe more. Aliens are known for their big heads and big eyes - so I took advantage of that and put him in a composite with a night sky photo I took earlier in the week during Photo Summit. It doesn't hurt that we live in the country's largest night sky preserve and just happens to be a region of high UFO activity - so much that just over the mountain is the UFO observatory.
