Misty Morning on Caddo Lake

It's always hard to decide on a favorite photo, but I liked this one for the balance of the two cormorants, the golden hour light diffused through the mist and the foggy blur of the trees in the background.

Looking forward to another year of being inspired by the creativity of this group. See you in 2025.

This was my Week 35 submission. The phrase ‘hovering in the rigging of great ships’ gave me the idea of a sailing ship docked along the Thames, at night in heavy fog. This is the Imagine app using the Imagine theme and Van Gogh style. The prompt was “London, night, 1880, standing on a dock by the Thames, 3-masted ship almost invisible in extremely thick fog.” I like the AI’s addition of the Moon, although it wasn’t in the prompt. The fog wasn’t as thick as I had in mind, so I blurred it a bit with the Lr clarity slider. This looked good in black and white and perhaps would have been more realistic that way, but I liked the blue cast to the image the AI created. Happy Holidays to all.

I chose this for the metaphor - as my life word is TIME.

These are my hands. Throughout my life they have been the most imporant thing to me. As a pianist at such an early age (3), playing sports was not allowed - because of... my hands.
